I started watching college basketball when I was in elementary school, and played basketball for a team up through my freshman year of high school. Do you have a favorite sports team, or a favorite sport to play?
I also love to seek out adventures. Now, when I say adventures, I don't necessarily mean long road trips to faraway places (although those are fun too), but more just trying and experiencing new things. I especially enjoy doing this with friends and family because it makes for fun memories to look back on. This is something that I hope will happen a lot while I am in Hong Kong!
During my time in college, and as I have gotten older, I have started to travel to places farther from home. I have absolutely loved it, which is a large reason why I have chosen to travel so far from home now. Before starting college, the only country I had been to other than the United States of America was Germany, and that's only because I was born there. Since starting college, I have visited Mexico, Canada, Bolivia and now China, which brings my total to six countries on four different continents. Last year I decided that I want to travel to all seven continents by the time I turn 27, and the three continents left on the list are Australia, Africa and Antarctica. I don't know how I will get to Antarctica, but I have a couple of years to figure that one out.
Hong Kong is a culturally diverse region, and it's frequently described as a place where eastern and western culture meet. This is because while Hong Kong is located in China, it was once a colony of the British Empire. In fact, up until 1997, the British still had control of Hong Kong.
