When I went to Xeo Quít, I traveled 65 kilometers each way. It took us about two hours to get there because we took a more scenic route, but the way back only lasted about an hour and a half. We rode through the outskirts of Can Tho and through many beautiful areas of the countryside in the Mekong Delta.
The farthest place I’ve traveled so far is a city called Dalat, which is about 500 kilometers north of Can Tho. It’s in a mountainous region of Vietnam, so the weather is a lot cooler because of the elevation. I felt cold there for the first time since flying to Asia. After staying there for a couple days, I rented a motorbike and rode 135 kilometers to a beach town called Nha Trang. There are so many nice places to explore in Vietnam!
I ride my motorbike every day, all over town. Since it’s so hot here, people usually prefer not to walk. Even if we’re only going somewhere a few blocks away, my friends and I prefer to take a quick motorbike ride instead of working up a full sweat from the walk in the humidity.
