The weather was muggy this week, not too hot, but still very humid. It rained really hard a couple times, and it was so loud on the roof that my students couldn't hear me in class!
I got the usual mix of frogs, lizards, snails, crabs, cats and geese around my house, but I also caught a glimpse of the monkey that lives down the street!
The monkey was definitely the coolest thing I saw this week. I’ve only seen it while I’ve been running in my neighborhood, but maybe one of these days I’ll stop by and see if I can introduce myself to the cute creature.
Unfortunately, the gardeners came by my house this week and chopped away most of my front yard! We had an area that was filled with lush plants to help absorb rainwater and keep the house from flooding, but I guess they clear away all the greenery every once in a while.
