I didn’t travel very far this week. I was busy with classes, so I stayed around Can Tho. It’s nice to have weeks like this because I get to interact with the city over a more extended period of time. I found a new dinner restaurant and ran some errands I’ve been putting off for too long.
The farthest I’ve traveled is to central Vietnam for a motorbike trip, but I’ll be going to Cambodia, Thailand and Japan over winter break in just a few weeks! I’m so excited to see more countries around Asia and try all kinds of new foods.
I always get around by motorbike. I had to get my bike fixed earlier in the week because the brake was not working quite right. It only took five minutes to adjust.
There’s a neighborhood in Can Tho called Cai Rang where the markets spill out onto the narrow streets and people sell all kinds of different things. From dragonfruits and bun xao, to catfish and pig ears, the locals come here to find whatever goods they have on their shopping lists.
