A Conversation with a Teacher in Southern Taiwan

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

I’ve traveled to the Philippines, Hawaii, the mainland United States, Mexico and Japan.

What do you do for work?:

I teach English, P.E., and music in an elementary school in Manzhou . I’ve been working here for three years. When I started, it was my first time living in this area.

Is there anything else you would like to say to students in the United States?:

Even though we don’t have a lot of opportunities to practice English, here in Taiwan, when foreigners come to visit, we try our best to help them. Our students are shy about speaking English, but they will do their best to become friends with anyone who is from anywhere else. It’s really fun to come to Taiwan, even if you don’t speak Chinese because we will try to communicate with you in English!
