In Victoria Falls, the weather was warm and sunny. This is because Zimbabwe is close to the equator and is, therefore, much hotter than Cape Town.
The town of Victoria Falls is inside a national park which means that local wildlife are able to roam freely without fencing or cages. Elephants often hold up traffic when they cross the road, here! Additionally, baboons are all around town searching for snacks. I went on a sunset cruise one evening by Victoria Falls, and on the banks of the river I saw several herds of hippos! These giant, semi-aquatic mammals travel in groups of 6-10 and can hold their breath underwater for up to five minutes. And they really do open their mouths so wide to chomp on their food, just like in the board game 'Hungry Hungry Hippos'!
