What main languages are spoken here?:

English is spoken by almost everyone in Zimbabwe, but most people also speak the native language of Shona. Although these two are the most commonly spoken languages, there are 16 official languages in this country!

What type of money is used here?:

The United States Dollar is used in Zimbabwe. However, until 2009, the Zimbabwean dollar was the currency, here. However, due to the economic policies of previous Zimbabwean governments, the exchange rate suffered a massive drop in value. A ten-billion dollar bill in Zimbabwe used to be equivalent to just one United States dollar. Can you believe that? Now, one Zimbabwean dollar is worth 322 USD!

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

In Victoria Falls, I paid $1 for a bottle of water. 

What was the best meal this week?:

The best meal I ate was a crocodile kabob! At a restaurant in Victoria Falls, I was served crocodile and veggies on a kabob with rice and a coconut curry sauce. Crocodile tastes a lot like chicken, which is to say, tasty!

What music did I listen to this week?:

This week, I listened to a lot of music that was playing in the outdoor common space at our hostel. This music included a lot of the same music I listen to in America, with artists like Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift and Harry Styles.
