Autumn is finally here! Things have really started to cool down. Just a week ago, we were getting temperatures in the 90s, but it hasn't even reached 80 this week. The weather's also a lot more up-and-down now, with days of sun, rain and wind.
Paris is full of pigeons. Wherever you go, those little gray birds, and sometimes really fancy-colored ones, are sure to make an appearance. There were loads more of them in the summer, though. They must be starting to fly off to warmer regions.
The local park, the Parc de Bercy, has other bird species. There's a pond where ducks and other little waterfowl like to swim around. There was even a heron once, which means the pond probably has fish in it! The water was a bit too muddy for me to see them clearly, but I'm pretty sure I saw a huge shadow swim among the water plants once.
I also met a cat at the park! He was really friendly and asked very nicely to be petted. He must have belonged to the caretaker. He seemed really healthy.
