The railway system in Paris is a big part of the city's culture. Almost everybody in the city uses it. Students of all ages use it to get to class. Businessmen take it to get to work. Tourists travel on it to get to the beautiful monuments of the city. It's hard to imagine Paris without its trains! There are books, songs, movies, and T.V. shows about the trains.
In fact, the train stations themselves can be works of art! One of them looks like a tropical garden. Another looks like the inside of a steam-punk submarine. Others have walls covered in historical photos and fantastic drawings. Paris loves showing off its art. These stations make waiting for a train much less boring!
