I live on the very edge of the agricultural side and the forest side, on a coffee farm. If you step outside of my door and look left, you’ll see sprawling sugarcane farms as far as your eyes take you. If you look right, it's pure rainforest.
My family is very tight-knit. It’s me, my husband Hormias, my son Carlos, and my daughters Gloriana and Irene. We are all very close and are still living together. My extended family is quite large. I have 9 siblings, most of whom have stayed in La Paz, so I see them frequently. Every holiday or birthday is a huge affair.
I get around the town by car. My husband, however, prefers to use his ATV. Interestingly, a few of my neighbors prefer to travel by horse!
I like to wear athletic clothing. In Costa Rica there is a big ropa Americana culture, which is the Costa Rican equivalent of a thrift store. At these thrift stores, the vast majority of clothing comes from American brands. So, I’m sure you and I dress quite similarly!
I love to plant things. I have an amazing garden that I’m very proud of in the back of my house. Much of the fruit my family and I eat comes from there!
I speak Spanish, and I’m sure you already know the answer to the second question!
