Traveling in Morocco is quite the same as in the U.S. Morocco has trains, cars and taxis that people can use to get from one place to another. If you want to travel to another country, there are planes and boats to do so.
The most common way to get around in Morocco is by a taxi, train or bus. There are two forms of taxis: grand taxis and petit taxis. Petit taxis only drive within certain cities and don't travel to other cities. Only three passengers at a time are allowed to travel in a petit taxi. So, if you and three other friends want to take a taxi to the park, only three of you can travel together and the other must take a separate taxi. The cost of an petit taxi is 10 dirhams for the whole group, which is about one U.S. dollar.
In contrast to petit taxis, grand taxis travel between cities. Grand taxis are able to take six passengers at a time. All the grand taxis are at the grand taxi station, so you must take a petit taxi to get there. When you arrive, a driver will call out the name of the city that he will be driving to. If it is the same city you want to go to, then you get in his taxi. Grand taxis cost about 30 dirhams a person, so roughly three U.S. dollars.
When you want to get to a city that is far away (like more than three hours by car), you can either take the train or the bus.
