The Life of Hajar

Introduction:

Hajar was born in Morocco and has lived here her whole life here. She was adopted a few years ago by Mrs. Karen Smith, the lady I wrote about in my Daily Life Field Note, and has enjoyed her time as part of Mrs. Smiths' family. Hajar is in her final year of high school and she is excited about college. She hopes to attend medical school in the United States, and she wants to help people when she gets older.

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

For breakfast, Hajar enjoys eating biscuits, eggs, crepes or scones. A crepe is a French dish and is a very thin pancake made of wheat flour. It can be filled with different ingredients such as vegetables, chocolate, cheese and cream. A scone is a British biscuit that is sweet--sweeter than an American biscuit.

For lunch, Hajareitherr eats a pizza, chicken sandwich, noodles or pasta. She makes her own lunch the night before, and take it to school with her. Hajar enjoys cooking, and for dinner, she sometimes cooks stir-fry, meatballs or chili. She enjoys tajine, a traditional Moroccan dish.

What is your house like?:

Hajar loves the house she lives in. She lives in the same house that Mrs. Karen lives in. Her house is in Ifrane and is very beautiful. It was built in 1941 by the French. It has two floors, an upstairs and a downstairs.
