Clean Water Systems in Peru

Each small town has a committee called a “JASS,” who are elected people in charge of making sure the water systems work well. They clean the water tank, collect money from each family to pay the electricity bills, fix any broken pipes and have town meetings to discuss community problems with water. People, like myself, go to these towns and work with these committees to help them install chlorination systems to kill the bacteria in their drinking water.
