Sakura Season!

The petals also come in a variety of different shades of pink, with some having deeper shapes of a pink color while some have a lighter shade of pink. Some sakura flowers also can bloom on different locations on the tree branches, such as blooming in clusters in one place on the branch or blooming on one place by itself. After the blooming season, sakura trees become a lush tree with simple, oval shaped leaves with serrated edges.

How did I feel when I saw it?:

When sakura trees started blooming in Japan in the Shibuya and Shinjuku area, they were almost everywhere on every street! I was amazed by the different types of sakura that were in full bloom. Just imagine a bustling city street and right above the road there are trees full of pink and white flowers fluttering above you. You can't help but stop in your tracks and admire the pretty cherry blossoms now and then!

Where does it live?:

Sakura trees and cherry blossom trees can be found almost everywhere around the Tokyo area and in other cities. During sakura season, you can find these blossoms almost everywhere! But once the bloom period ends, the majority of the trees turn lush with green leaves, making it harder to identify the trees if you don't look close enough. Some cherry blossom trees can be found alongside rivers and creeks, providing a picturesque view of sakura petals falling into the water below. Cherry blossom trees can also be found on normal busy city streets, along the side of roads, or even in some alleyways in a busy city!
