On a typical day, I normally track my step count to be around 12,000 steps daily. Between walking to school, walking to the market, and walking all over the city to the metro and train stations, I am racking up my amount of daily steps and walking more than I normally do back home. This week, to get to Aranjuez for the hot air ballon festival, I traveled 25 miles from where I live and took one train all the way down. It was about an hour long train ride!
I traveled the farthest so far during my time in Spain when I went to visit Barcelona, Spain. I took a flight which was just under two hours long. I could have taken a train to Barecelona, which would have took three and a half hours one way, but a total of seven hours round trip, so I decided to take a flight instead Barcelona is very similar to Madrid, but it has its own historical landmarks and attractions worth visiting. My favorite part of visiting Barcelona was seeing La Sagrada Familia and Barceloneta Beach! There are no beaches in Madrid, and being from California, I really miss being near the ocean sometimes, so it was very cool to be able to visit the beach in Barcelona.
