To go from where I live to school (which I have to do on average around three times per week) is around a 30-minute metro ride each way. The three concerts I went to were about that far away from home as well. I live on the Southern edge of the city, so it always takes a little bit to get to the central area if I have something to do there.
Over winter break I got to go to Bordeaux, a city in the Southwestern part of France. I got to see a ballet at the opera house there and some very beautiful historic churches. Last week I performed with a violinist friend in Fontainebleau - that’s a smaller town about an hour South of central Paris by train. I often go to different parts of the city and sometimes to the surrounding regions too, so I get around quite a bit!
