We ordered one round of meat khinkali and one order of the potatoes and cheese variety. Then we ordered a dish of thinly sliced beef with a seasoning similar to beef jerky. It was such a tasty meal!
I listened to some Russian rap music this week in order to work on my listening skills, and then the music you probably listen to, which is to say: country music, rap music, and well-known pop artists like Ed Sheeran. I also listened to Georgian music during a cooking class.
The most fun was going to a public thermal bath with my classmates here in Tbilisi! The city is actually named after the natural hot springs here ("Tblisi" means, "warm place" in the Georgian language). We had a private room with a big pool of hot water, two small tubs of very cold water, a shower and a sauna. The water here is not like your typical household water, but sulfur water, so it smells a bit like eggs but is claimed to be very good for your physical health!
This week I have read many news articles about what is happening in Georgia and in Ukraine. I have also been reading my new English-Russian mini-dictionary, to learn new words in Russian.
I went indoor rock climbing this week at the largest gym in Tblisi. This gym was much smaller than the ones in the United States, but the people there were so nice and helpful.
