As a university English teacher, my job is to help train future English teachers in Brazilian communities. I asked my future teachers if I could visit their classrooms to learn more about what it’s like to be a kid in Brazil!
Kids usually eat pão de queijo (cereal) in the morning. For lunch, most kids eat beans and rice. Dinner will change depending on what their parents decide to cook or eat.

At home, kids usually have to clean up their toys, set the table for meals and make their beds every day.
Kids have parents with many different jobs such as doctor, lawyer, teacher and veterinarians.
For pre-school, kids go to school from 8:00 a.m. to noon. Older kids go to school from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. What is your schedule like?
