"I am studying history (which is about cultures and geography), math, literature, writing, grammar, French, typing, and science. My favorite class is science because I want to be a marine biologist when I get older and I am studying about marine life and ways to help protect it. It's even better because I'll sometimes get to go snorkel or do some kind of nature field trip in place of science class. I'm also writing a ten-page research paper on marine biology."
"A lot of it is similar to what I did at home, but since I'm on this exciting journey, I do my work until I'm finished and then I have the rest of the day off. Sometimes we get to count things that are fun towards my school, like visiting a historical place or going on a nature hike. My schedule is easily flexible, so it is not a problem. When I first got here, everything was so new and different, so I learned a lot of new things in a way that a book cannot teach me."
"I like to do a lot of stuff. Usually they require more than one person, so I cannot do them here often. But when I can I like to play board games, go to the beach, go to my swim team sessions, and sometimes play tennis. Recently, I've been learning about scuba diving. I actually just got certified this morning. It has been quite the adventure. I've seen lots of fish that are considered bad in the United States because they are invasive, but here they are loved, like the Lionfish."
