On our very first day of the tour, we had the opportunity to learn about how chocolate is grown and then made here in Costa Rica. Costa Rica is known for their chocolate, and there are thousands of local businesses that produce their own chocolate. You can see cacao commonly grown in Costa Rica. The chocolate producers, Two Monkeys, walked us through how the indigenous people originally produced chocolate until today. I found it really interesting to learn about how things were originally produced and made, here, as so much in the Western hemisphere is mass-produced and manufactured.
