Two of my friends and I went to join the Ulaanbaatar Hiking Club, and they made all new members get up in front of the group and introduce ourselves. It was a little embarrassing, but we had a great time making new friends. We even climbed a mountain. It was hard work, but the views were so worth it!
I just started reading a book called "The Silk Roads," which is a history of the empires of the region stretching from China to Iran. It is a very long, but very informative book since I'm living in the same area. I'm going to learn a lot about the history of Mongolia and how it developed from reading this book.
This week, I went to the gym to run and lift weights. I think I did too many arm exercises though, as my arms were so sore afterwards!
I recently started an English Speaking Club at my school, and so far the students are having a great time participating in this by learning new words, phrases, and expressions.
