The weather is cold and windy! We need thick coats, hats, mittens, gloves, face masks and scarves every time we go outside. My ears and my fingertips get numb very quickly!
I saw goats, dogs and horses. I traveled to a province in the countryside called Khentii. On the way there, I passed herds and herds of goats just roaming outside and nibbling grass. When I arrived in Khentii, I met the horsemen who showed me and my fellow travelers how to lasso horses. That's an important skill when there are so many horses to maintain. The province of Khentii has 30,000 horses! We also watched a dog race. I saw six or seven dogs race each other over a piece of meat!
The coolest thing I saw was horses crossing the Tuul River! The Tuul River, which runs through Ulaanbaatar, was quite deep this time of year and flows very fast. The water came all the way up to the noses of the horses! They got soaked.
