The temperature this week was absolutely beautiful! It was sunny, hot and humid. In many ways, it reminded me of the weather from back home in Florida. Every day the temperature ranged from mid-80s to mid-90s. Occasionally in the afternoon, there would be random gusts of wind while the sun was out, for a combination of sunny and windy. However, most of the days were very hot and humid. I personally love this weather as it feels very close to home for me. At the end of the days, my peers in the program and I would come home drenched in sweat from a long day of walking around and sightseeing.
In all three major cities, one thing I did notice is that there was a high number of stray cats walking around and sleeping on the streets. Some of the locals and restaurant owners would place little mats or boxes on the side of the street for the cats to sleep in or provide them with food and water.
