This week I traveled from Switzerland to Morocco. Morocco will be the farthest that I travel away from my host country for the duration of the program.
Most of my time has been in Switzerland. However, the farthest I have gone was to my week trip in Morocco. While I do have other plans to travel during the duration of the program, the countries I will be visiting are within Europe and are close neighbors to Switzerland.
This week, I got around mainly on a coach bus that the program rented so that we could get from city to city. I also got to experience riding in a taxi to get to explore Rabat. However, we also mainly walked everywhere as walking is another common mode of transportation for the locals.
The most interesting place I visited was the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca. It is such a beautiful and large mosque. It is the third largest mosque in the world. I was very happy to get to learn the history behind it and take a tour around the mosque.
