I am currently in Santorini. While I am only staying two full days and three nights, the weather has been beautiful. Today, it was very sunny and humid, even though the morning started very cloudy and windy (as if it were going to rain). Luckily, the weather got better by 12:00 PM and it has been beautiful ever since. When I first arrived, it was very windy and rainy at night.
I have seen many stray cats and dogs while walking through the streets of the small towns on Santorini. While I have not seen one, donkeys are a very common form of transportation here. I learned a fun fact today from my tour guide. There are more donkeys on the island, 800 to be exact, than there are cars. Donkeys are especially essential when trying to go up the mountains to reach the high altitudes of Santorini.
