The weather in Omsk is slowly but surely moving from fall to winter. Every day has had some form of precipitation, whether it is rain, snow or something in between.
I am seeing fewer and fewer animals as the weather gets colder. However, I still see some families walking their dogs around the city.
For me, the coolest thing in nature this week was the weather and its effect on the city. We had a day of sleet this week, and the next day the temperature dropped. The sleet froze into ice, preserving everyone's footprints in the process. Although I don't like walking on ice, I thought it was cool how it froze and saved all of the footprints.
Despite the snow, my professor has been saying "Fall has arrived." She says that the rain/snow combination is "real fall" in Omsk.
