Our News

What main languages are spoken here?:

We all speak English, but maybe when we get more tired we’ll invent our own, new language to pass the time.

What type of money is used here?:

Since we have all the food, water and basic supplies we need onboard that we'll need for the entire journey, there's no need for anyone to carry or spend any kind of money. We don't need to worry about misplacing a credit card or any cash... we just disn't bring any. There are no opportunities to do any shopping while rowing across the ocean.

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

We need lots of fresh water to stay hydrated while rowing, and lucky we have a tool onboard the converts salt-filled ocean water into fresh drinking water. With this valuable tool, water doesn't cost us anything. The ocean provides all the water we could possibly drink.

What was the best meal this week?:

Pancakes! There’s something special about having pancakes (or as we call then, flapjacks!) on a rowboat in the middle of the ocean. They taste that much better.

What music did I listen to this week?:

Music is an important tool to keep us motivated as we’re rowing hour after hour on the open sea. Sometimes it’s nice to take in the sounds of the ocean, but we have been listening to a lot of Taylor Swift and Dolly Parton when we need some musical inspiration.
