Luckily, this restaurant lived up to its name and the pizza was delicious!
I often listen to my favorite music from the Unites States here because it reminds me of home and comforts me. My favorite album right now is a newly released album called Aequoreous from the band Grammatik. My host family here in Peru listens to the radio in the house, so I also hear popular Peruvian songs. The song I hear the most here is called "Tattoo'", by the group La Unica Tropical.
My hike to the waterfall was the most fun activity this week because I got to leave the isolation of my site and reunite with some friends for physical exercise and mental healing in nature.
I started reading a comfort book from my childhood by Louis Sachar called Holes. It is a very simple book, probably about a fifth grade reading level, but it is an easy distraction for me to focus on in site when I have downtime. It was also made into a popular movie back in 2003. I recommend reading or watching it if you have the opportunity!
I play volleyball almost everynight with a group of women in my neighborhood. We rent a covered sports area belonging to the municipality one to two hours, depending on availability, and we play on teams of six against each other. It is a great way to get some exercise and integrate into my community.
