Our News

In restaurants, they bring paella out in a small black pot. The rice has so much flavor and spice. I loved it so much that I had it three times throughout my week in both cities.

What music did I listen to this week?:

Throughout Barcelona, there are many local artists who play their instruments and sing to the public. I got to listen to Spanish artists, as well as other traditional Hispanic music found in Latin countries, such as bachata, reggaeton and salsa.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

The most fun activity (aside from sightseeing) was taking our time to walk around the Barcelona and Madrid streets. Especially at night, Barcelona was very lively and full of families and people walking around the city. Resturants were open, so you could grab anything to eat whenever you wanted! While nighttime in Madrid was more calm, throughout the day you could walk through the many shopping strips and malls that the city has to offer.

What did I read this week?:

This week I mainly read and heard a lot about the Catalonia and Spain divide, which I will talk about more in detail in another post.

What games or sports did I play this week?:

I did not play any games or sports this week!

Other news from this week:

Madrid and Barcelona are two very different cities! They are both large in size, have tall buildings and are very heavily populated. Barcelona is more of a historic city full of national landmarks and monuments to see. Madrid is more of a working city. During our stay in Madrid, we saw fewer tourists than we did in Barcelona. Madrid was also full of shopping strips and malls.
