This week, I listened to a French singer that one of my coworkers recommended. The singer’s name is Angéle, and she sings pop music. What is your favorite singer?
I really enjoyed being able to travel with Emily this week. We are friends from college, and I had not seen her since September when I moved to Germany. It was great to catch up and learn about Spanish culture together.
I am nearly done reading “The Clockmaker’s Daughter” by Kate Morton. It’s about 600 pages long but definitely worth the time!
When I got back from Spain at the end of the week, I went rock climbing with my German friend, Nico. Rock climbing is a popular sport in Berlin–especially in the winter because the rock walls are indoors!
I would like to tell you more about the cells I work with! Remember: cells are tiny pieces that make up every plant and animal. Specifically, I work with stem cells. Stem cells are special types of cells that can turn into many other types of cells. This means our stem cells can turn into cells in our muscles, blood, brain and many more! My job is to turn stem cells into brain cells so we can better understand how the brain develops. Cool, right?
