I’ve primarily come across Norwegian and English.
The Norsk krone is used in Tromsø.
A bottle of water costs about 300 kroner (or about $3 USD).
The best meal was at Wedeb’s Restaurant, an Ethiopian restaurant serving traditional and abundant food. Vegetables, legumes, stews and sauces were all served on a spongey-textured bread called injera.
Due to lacking internet coverage, I listened to podcasts of previously downloaded concerts (specifically of Julia Jacklin, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Nao and Weyes Blood.) I also noticed Celine Dion and Elton John playing as I was swimming in Tromsø Badet.
Perhaps it’s not one singular activity, but I enjoyed traveling to eastern Norway with friends. We snowshoed, stopped at a park, ate at a diner-like setting, took a ferry with incredible views, and got to know one another. I enjoyed the collective newness of the experience and seeing the variety of the terrain.
