At the beginning of our trip, it was very rainy. Every day we had in Strasbourg, it rained at least a little bit. When we traveled overnight from Strasbourg, France to Ludwigshaven am Rhein, Germany, we left the rain behind and had three days of warmth and sun. Just a few minutes ago, we docked in Koblenz, Germany and it immediately started to rain. As we have mentioned before, our itinerary for our journey has changed because this area (known as the "Alsace" in France or "Rheinland Palatinate" in Germany) has had a lot of rain that caused flooding in parts of the region. Luckily, we haven't experienced any flooding, but we also definitely wish there was more sun too!
I've seen an Eurasian red squirrel with bright red fur and ear tufts, many storks, some pigeons and a lot of swans in Strasbourg. Since moving across the border to Germany, I have seen lots of birds! Canada geese, greylag geese, mallard ducks, blackbirds and more swans.
