This week, I visited three different countries and traveled many miles! I traveled around 200 miles to get from Lyon to Zurich. Traveling from Zurich to Budapest was around 500 miles, and from Budapest to Vienna was around 130 miles. To get back to Lyon from Vienna, I traveled another 725 miles. That’s a lot of traveling!
So far, while living in Lyon, I have traveled to many places. I’ve visited cities all around France, like Marseille, Avignon and Lille, I’ve also traveled to other countries, like I did this week.
I took many different forms of transportation to travel from one country to the next. For example, I took the train to get from Lyon to Zurich, and a plane to get from Zurich to Budapest. Later in the week, I took a bus to get from Budapest to Vienna, and a plane to get from Vienna back to Lyon.
The most interesting place I visited was Budapest, Hungary. It is the capital city and has many beautiful buildings, like the Parliament Building and Chain Bridge. The city is split by a large river called the Danube River. While I was there, I tried a famous Hungarian treat called Kürtőskalács, also known as chimney cake. It was warm, sweet and covered in sugar!
