T-shirts, shorts and flip flops were my daily attire.
We had a lot of free time on the ship, so I would watch movies with friends, play card games and look for dolphins.
I speak English and I am trying to learn French! Bonjour, Je m'appelle Audrey. Our ship had students from across the world, and it was awesome to hear different accents and languages being spoken.
Sadly, no pets were allowed on the ship. Sometimes birds would travel across the ocean with us and rely on us to get to and from the land.
Our ship left from Ensenada, Mexico to Hawaii, Japan, Vietnam, Mauritius and then South Africa. It would take 3-14 days to get from country to country.
I was a Resident Assistant on the ship, so I would help plan events like talent shows, career fairs, mixers and more.
If you've ever been on a cruise or another boat, you know what seasickness is like. I adjusted after about three days and finally got my sea legs. Living on a ship is awesome, but sometimes it is scary to only see the ocean everywhere you look. At one point when we were past Hawaii, the closest humans to us were ones on the International Space Station...all the way in outer space!
