Although I love to travel and dedicate time to my research project, moments of solitude this week were spent on train rides reading "Americanah" by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and "Le Petit Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. I want to read more French books, but it’s challenging since my grammar still needs a lot of work. Reading simpler books helps, but it’s tough to balance this with the academic literature I need to read for my research. Finding time to read for pleasure is hard, but sometimes I step into the library or pick up a book to enjoy a few pages while waiting for a train or just to unwind.
