My first few days in Baku, Azerbaijan, were warm and sunny. This weather was perfect for morning runs and excursions around the country, but then the clouds, wind, and rain rolled in! This wet weather stayed with us during our time in the city of Shaki and followed us back to Tbilisi, Georgia.
We spent a lot of time driving through small towns and the countryside of Azerbaijan and Georgia, so I saw many animals. From the car windows, we could see eagles, hawks, vultures, and other small birds flying. There were also many cows, sheep, and goats. We often had to wait for these animals to get off the road so we could continue driving!
The coolest thing I saw would be the sun setting over the mountain town of Shaki in Azerbaijan. The weather was warm and sunny before the clouds, wind and rain came. The sky turned different shades of red and pink as the sun set.
