Azerbaijani is the country's primary language, which is very similar to the Turkish language spoken in Türkiye (Turkey). While everyone speaks Azerbaijani, over 75% of the people, here, know Russian, and about 40% know English.
The money here is the Azerbaijani Manat. And just as in the U.S.A., there are both bills and coins. The difference, here, is that the money has different colors for each bill, such as green, orange and blue.

The best meal I had this week was a sandwich called tantuni. This sandwich is a popular street food that is made quickly and perfect for when you do not have time to sit down to eat. Tantuni consists of seasoned beef cooked in a hot pan with a bun put over the top to absorb the flavor. Once ready, the meat is put into the sandwich with a mix of chopped parsley, onion, and tomato. Then you squeeze a lemon into it and add peppers if you like it spicy.
