The weather started out cloudy or rainy each day, but usually became sunny. It was a bit chilly, but since I was walking so much, I did not mind it.
I saw a lot of pigeons in the city. They were everywhere. I also saw swans in a loch (lake). Many people were walking dogs throughout Edinburgh. On the bus from Glasgow to Edinburgh there were horses, cows and many sheep. Sheep are important to Scottish culture. They use the wool for scarves and sweaters. Their national dish, haggis, is also made from sheep intestines - a mixture of the heart, liver, stomach and lungs.
The coolest thing I saw in nature was Arthur's Seat. Arthur's Seat is the highest point in Holyrood Park, which has miles of green hills and lochs. There were a few paths to follow, but most of the park is just open space. From the Arthur's Seat you could see all of Edinburgh below and look out over the city. It was beautiful.
