How Do People Get Around Mongolia?

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

Mongolian culture is very welcoming and hospitable, meaning that they welcome strangers as if they were old friends. The open nature of Mongolian ride-sharing connects perfectly to the culture: people simply ask for what they need, and strangers are happy to help in any way that they can. Mongolians are very kind to strangers and welcoming to foreigners, so it makes perfect sense that they would be willing to help by driving too.

Also, the traffic in Ulaanbaatar is so bad because this city was built to hold 500,000 people, but now holds 1,500,000. That is a big difference! And when so many people drive on roads that are narrow and full of potholes, things are going to get a little jammed. It is very common here for people to be late to their job or to important events, and to blame it on the traffic.
