The other day, I saw some beautiful flowers that had fallen on the ground and wondered what they were. I decided to take a closer look and asked a local resident what the flowers were called. They told me that this flower was the "mogra" flower. I had never heard of this flower before, but it smelled really familiar to me. I did a few google searches and discovered that mogra is the word that is used in some parts of India to describe the jasmine flower.
There are many variations of the jasmine flower. This particular variation that I found was growing on a vine, and each flower had 5 petals. Jasmine is usually a white flower, but this variation was very unique. There were beautiful white and red jasmine flowers growing from the same jasmine plant.
I love seeing plants and flowers in the environment around me, so I really enjoyed seeing this jasmine plant. The best part about the jasmine flower is how sweet it smells. If you have never smelled the scent of jasmine before, I would encourage you to go find a jasmine flower and smell the sweet aroma!
