Rain, rain, and more rain. We’ve entered flooding season here in the delta, and this stuff is no joke! The thunderstorms are incredibly powerful, and when it rains, it pours. The rivers are overflowing into the streets all over town. Yesterday I rode my motorbike through a foot of water to get to class!
Lizards, snakes, frogs, crabs, dragonflies, mosquitoes and cockroaches all live in and around my house. There are open air vents in the walls, so critters can come and go as they please. I’ve learned to live alongside them. It no longer startles me when they scurry away as I move around the house.
