I started the week in Zurich, Switzerland. Switzerland has four main languages: German, French, Italian, and Romansh. In Zurich, people mostly speak German. Hallo is how you say "hi!" Next, I visited Budapest, Hungary, where people speak Hungarian, which looks and sounds very different from English. Szia is how you say "hi" or "bye!" I ended the week in Vienna, Austria, where people also speak German.
Each country I visited uses different money. Switzerland uses the Swiss franc (about $1.26 for 1 franc). Hungary uses the forint ($1 is about 328 forints!). Austria uses the euro, which is also used in France (about $1.17 for 1 euro). Nowadays, the easiest way to pay is by credit card, which is what I did during my trip.
Water prices were different in each country. Switzerland was the most expensive at about $3.77 for one bottle of water. Hungary was the least expensive at about $0.60 for a bottle of water.
