Cruising Around Barcelona

- Bus: The buses in the city of Barcelona get very, very crowded. There are buses all day and all night. At 6 a.m. you will see the people getting up early and people that are coming back from a party that have still not gone to sleep! Here is a video that shows what it feels like to ride around front row in Barcelona: https://youtube.com/shorts/3-xp7Xmyypk?si=5xqOgQq0wpNvJCH0

- Metro: The metro is like the subway, also. The metro will take you around the city, underground.

- Metrocable or teleférico: A metrocable is a small box that hangs from a cord, and can take you over a valley or up a mountain. Here is an example from when I took the teleférico to Montjuic: https://youtube.com/shorts/4yZE9yRNt14?si=dpnkh4MMw0x-Lji4

- Walking: In Europe, people value walking around a lot! I really enjoy this fact, as I also love to walk! Instead of driving everywhere, people will walk if they are going somewhere within 30-40 minutes. Also, people go on walks just to get some fresh air and to hang out.

- Car: Cars are also used here, although I know families that sold their cars in an effort to take care of the environment. Since public transportation is so great here, people do not even need their cars- I have been able to get everywhere I have wanted to go without having a car.

How did I feel when I tried this way of getting around?:

I feel very excited to be able, easily, to go everywhere I want. When I lived in San José, California, the public transportation did not allow me to go to as many places as I can go here.
