Traditions at the University of Exeter

Introduction:

The biggest tradition that takes place in Exeter is something called Freshers Week that happens every year at the University of Exeter. This Week is meant to celebrate and welcome new students to the University.

What tradition did I learn about?:

I learned that this tradition helps make students more comfortable at the university. This week is full of fun activities such as meet-ups, parties for different student organizations and teams and sessions to get international students familiar with British culture.

Why does the community have this tradition?:

The community has this tradition because this is a way to get students familiar with the university and the city of Exeter. During this week, I learned how to get around the city and where to go to do things like get groceries and shop for souvenirs.

Is this tradition connected to its environment? How?:

This tradition connects to the environment because the citizens of Exeter love the students of the University of Exeter. They love all the culture and different perspectives that they bring from all over the United Kingdom and over the world.
