The University of Exeter has a diverse student population with students from all over the globe. I have had the pleasure of meeting people from different places like the United Kingdom, the Philippines, Brazil and many more. They have all had to learn to adapt to living in the city of Exeter, and for some students, that means that they have to learn to cope with different weather, food and culture.
I have asked people what makes Exeter different from other places, and the most popular answer that I have gotten was that Exeter is more peaceful than most places. Many students have had to learn how to live in a place with less hustle and bustle than they are used to. Other students have told me that the setting of Exeter is what makes it different. Exeter is a city in the countryside and is home to beautiful hills and meadows that can be seen on the horizon. The beautiful scenery is like no other, and that is what makes Exeter special.
The people are what help newcomers live in this environment. Talking to locals and getting their help to navigate through the city is what helps people live in this environment. I can personally say that the citizens of Exeter have been a great help when it comes to moving through the city.
