Nature of Exeter

Introduction:

The nature in Exeter is a lot different from my home in Mississippi. You will not find a lot of forests, but we are surrounded by beautiful hills.

What does this creature or plant look like?:

The creatures that I surprisingly see the most in Exeter are seagulls. Even though Exeter is 20 minutes from the beach, they have made a home here in the city. They are gray and white birds with curved beaks. They also have very large wings!

How did I feel when I saw it?:

The seagulls scare me a little. They are known to steal food from people, and I have even seen one steal half of a man's sandwich.

Where does it live?:

Seagulls live in places where there are a lot of people. You will generally see them in the city center and around the university because there is a lot of leftover food in those places.

How does it use its environment to survive?:

Seagulls use their beaks to threaten people while spreading their wings to make themselves look bigger.

What can harm this creature or plant? Are we worried about it?:

I am extremely worried about seagulls. Not much can scare them away because they are brave, and they tend to look angry all of the time.
