Our News

We fill our water bottles onboard the ship and then use them all day. There are also places to fill up if you need to.

What was the best meal this week?:

Since getting onto the Amadeus Brilliant, we have eaten really well. The chefs onboard the ship are very talented and love cooking for us passengers. As someone whose dad cooked professionally, I really appreciate how good they are at their jobs and how accommodating they have been for me as a vegetarian. Off the ship in Strasbourg, Molly and I ate at a lovely little Indian restaurant in Little France. We ordered madras curry, palak paneer, pakoras and rice. The rice had whole cardamom pods, star anise, pomegranate seeds and real cinnamon bark. Shout out to my vegetarian friends from Ms. Litman's class who inspired this trip!

What music did I listen to this week?:

I haven't listened to much music because I've been walking around many different towns in France and Germany. However, I went for a run this morning in Rudesheim and listened to some music to keep my pace up. I listened to Logic, Twenty-one Pilots, Sia, Diplo and Labryinth.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

As you will see in another article, my Travel Club friends and I traveled through something called a "lock" on the river. In a lock, a boat will enter, and the water level will rise or fall based on the height of the river on the other side. Locks help boats move up or down in height along a river more safely. It was the first time I have ever been through a lock on a river!

What did I read this week?:

Right now, I'm reading a book called "The Life and Death of Great American Cities" by Jane Jacobs.
