Come on, vamanos!

She enjoys chewing on my sandals and tugging on them to get me to play with her. And her favorite of all is playing tag. I will chase her around in circles, trying to catch her or steal her favorite bouncy ball.

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

I have traveled a lot, in fact to over 40 countries in the world! However, in the past two years here in Peru, I have been able to travel and see the diversity of the country. Did you know Peru has coast, mountains and jungle? The coast is on the Pacific Ocean, the mountains are part of the Andes mountain range, and the jungle is part of the iconic Amazon Jungle.

The coast is very dry, but has plenty of nice beaches, surfing and pre-Incan archaeological sites made from mud bricks. In the mountains, you have beautiful green hills, snow-capped hills, turquoise lakes and some of the oldest villages in Peru (some of which still speak an indigenous language). There are many farms for cows and potatoes, among other fruits and vegetables. On the other side of the mountains, you enter the jungle where you can find waterfalls, hot springs, winding rivers and lots of wildlife (including pink dolphins, poisonous snakes, piranhas and jaguars). Peru is a very diverse country as you can see! What part of Peru would you want to travel to first?

What do you do for work?:

I work as a Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Volunteer with the Peace Corps. The Peace Corps is a U.S. government agency that sends volunteers all over the world to spread principles peace and friendship, while also working on projects with communities.
