Getting around Košice

I was so excited to be able to always take public transit here. It is cheaper, and I know it is better for the environment. When I first got my bus pass, I thought the price was a little high. Then I did the math and found out that using public transportation only costs me forty cents a day! In the beginning I was a little frustrated because I did not know where I was going. I was not confident enough to take transit at night, knowing it came less often and I would have to change trams. Two months later, it is much better. I am more confident in using it to get where I need to go. On cold and rainy days I do not like waiting at the bus stop so much, but I am getting used to it. The worst part is when I get to the bus stop and see my bus leaving.

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

Here the roads were built for public transportation. There is enough space for buses, trams and trolleys. There is an increasing amount of cars on the roads in Košice, and it is leading to a lot of traffic jams. Unlike the United States, the roads are not made for many cars. Less cars on the road due to public transportation is also better for the environment.
