Daily Life in Slovakia - A Native's Perspective

Introduction:

Tania is from Slovakia, and she spent one year living and attending high school in the United States. During that time she lived with my family making her my foreign exchange student sister, but we just say sister. I decided to interview her becuase she also knows how life is in the United States, so it is easy for her to talk about both countries.

What is your full name?:

"Tatiana Miháliková"

Where do you live? What is your house like?:

"I grew up living in a flat with my parents and my twin sister, who I shared a room with. It is a small apartment in one of the estate areas in Prešov. It's a cozy and pleasant, homelike atmosphere.

Now I live in a rented room in an apartment in Bratislava where I study. It is a nice room with a lot of light coming in from the big window. It has a bedroom and a living room area, which is what I like about it. I like to decorate every place I live, to make it more comfortable and homelike, and that is what I did in this room too. Pictures of family and friends, some motivational quotes, candles and a string light chain, as well as small pillows. It makes a difference."
